Tourist Guide Training in Nagarparkar is empowering local youth to become professional ambassadors for one of Sindh’s most unique tourism destinations.
On 15 June, 25 young trainees began the Travel & Tourism Trade, taking their first steps toward becoming skilled tourist guides. Through hands-on training and industry-focused learning, participants are developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to introduce visitors to Nagarparkar’s rich cultural heritage, centuries-old history, breathtaking granite hills, and warm local hospitality.
Supported by Bank Alfalah and implemented by Thar Education Alliance (TEA), the initiative extends beyond skills development. It is creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth while promoting community-led tourism and preserving the region’s unique cultural identity.
As these trainees become certified tourist guides, they will not only lead visitors through Nagarparkar’s iconic attractions but also share the stories, traditions, and heritage that make the region a remarkable destination for travelers.
