Girls Skill Development Program Empowers Mumta to Build a Successful Future

Skill, Strength, Success: The Story of Mumta

The Girls Skill Development Program is transforming lives across Tharparkar, and Mumta’s journey is a powerful example. Hailing from Tharparkar, Mumta once had only basic stitching skills and limited opportunities for growth. Just three months ago, she took a bold step by enrolling in the Dress Making and Fashion Designing course at the Thar Education Alliance (TEA) Vocational Training Center in Mithi, supported by Bank Alfalah.

With unwavering dedication and passion, Mumta didn’t just learn — she excelled. Securing first position in her class, she mastered cutting, designing, and operating a digital sewing machine with confidence and precision. Today, she is stitching children’s clothes with professional finishing, turning her skills into a sustainable source of income.

Through the Girls Skill Development Program, Mumta is now earning independently. She is not only transforming her own life but also becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration for countless girls in her community.

This is the power of opportunity. Through the continued efforts of TEA and Bank Alfalah, girls like Mumta are being equipped with skills, confidence, and the ability to shape their own futures — one stitch at a time.
