Empowering Girls in Tharparkar Through Skills & Digital Education

Girls in Tharparkar are taking confident steps toward a brighter, more independent future through skills development and digital education initiatives led by the community-focused efforts of Thar Education Alliance (TEA) in collaboration with Bank Alfalah.

As part of this mission, TEA successfully completed a four-month stitching and embroidery training program in Mithi. During the closing ceremony, 25 girls were awarded certificates and sewing machines, enabling them to start earning from home and support their families with dignity and confidence.

This initiative is not just about training—it is about creating economic independence, self-reliance, and long-term empowerment for young women in rural communities.

In the same impactful event, TEA also announced the launch of a Web Development Training Course for another group of girls, highlighting the increasing importance of digital skills and online career opportunities in Tharparkar.

Speakers at the ceremony appreciated the initiative, emphasizing that equipping girls with both vocational and technological skills is building confidence, dignity, and opening new pathways toward sustainable economic independence.

Through such programs, TEA and Bank Alfalah are helping shape a future where girls are empowered not only to learn—but to lead, earn, and transform their communities.
