Taking Children’s Voices to the District Level

Children’s voices and their concerns about education deserve to be heard at every level. Through district-level engagements, the Children & Adolescents Parliament on Right to Education (C&AP on RTE Matiari) is creating opportunities for young people to raise important education issues and engage with relevant authorities.

Danish Ali, MPA, Children & Adolescents Parliament on Right to Education (C&AP on RTE), District Matiari, met with Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir Hussain to discuss key education concerns affecting children across the district.

The discussion highlighted several school-level challenges requiring attention, including the need for basic facilities at Bhawo Khan Pathan School, the shortage of teachers in Karim Dad Ghangla, and the need for libraries and science laboratories in schools.

The engagement also included a field visit with Additional Deputy Commissioner Amjad, providing an opportunity to better understand the challenges faced by schools and students on the ground.

These district-level engagements demonstrate the importance of listening to children and creating meaningful spaces for them to participate in discussions about their education. By raising concerns directly with district authorities, C&AP on RTE helps bring children’s perspectives into conversations about school facilities, teaching resources, and learning opportunities.

Through continued engagement and advocacy, C&AP on RTE remains committed to supporting children in raising their voices and advocating for their right to quality, inclusive, and equal education.
