Women Skill Development in Tharparkar is gaining momentum as a powerful step toward change begins in Mithi.
Thar Education Alliance, in collaboration with Bank Alfalah, has launched a Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) initiative to empower young women in Tharparkar with practical skills and new opportunities.
A total of 50 Thari girls are being trained in sewing, embroidery, and graphic design — skills that open doors to financial independence and brighter futures. While 25 participants are receiving hands-on training in stitching and embroidery, the other 25 girls are building digital and creative expertise through graphic design courses supported by regular assessments.
Beyond training, this initiative is about confidence, dignity, and self-reliance. Graduates will receive essential tools such as sewing machines, while top performers will be awarded laptops to continue their learning journey.
At a time when youth unemployment remains a major challenge in Pakistan, programs like this are not just helpful — they are essential.
Because when women are empowered with skills, entire communities grow stronger.
