The Three-Day Comprehensive Capacity Building Training on the Right to Education (RTE) brought together members of the Children and Adolescents’ Parliament on the Right to Education (Sindh) for an engaging learning experience focused on leadership, democratic participation, and child rights. Throughout the training, participants enhanced their leadership, communication, and public speaking skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s governance system, democratic institutions, and the Right to Education under Article 25-A of the Constitution. The program also explored educational policies, gender disparities, child rights, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), equipping participants with the knowledge to become informed advocates for quality education. A practical mock election further strengthened their understanding of democratic processes, culminating in the election of the Sindh Children’s Parliament leadership, followed by an oath-taking ceremony and certificate distribution. The training empowered 64 young parliamentarians from across Sindh with the confidence, knowledge, and leadership skills to champion children’s rights and advocate for equitable access to quality education in their communities.
