Representing Sindh at the Children’s Convention 2026 in the National Assembly of Pakistan, a group of students from Thar on Tuesday returned to the Thar Education Alliance (TEA) office in Karachi, sharing their participation at the country’s highest legislative forum as life-changing and empowering.
The children, who took part in the convention organised by the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights of the National Assembly, shared detailed reflections on their first-ever visit to Parliament, their interactions with policymakers, and the experience of being recognised at a national platform.
To acknowledge their achievement, TEA hosted a special welcome and appreciation meeting at its Karachi office. The visit was attended by Mansoor Ali Shah (Chartered Accountant), Engineer Sanjay Raja from Sindh Reads, Satram Das, Head Teacher of GHS Malanhore Vena, members of TEA’s Advisory Council, and CEO Mr. Partab Shivani.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shivani lauded the students for their confidence, leadership, and effective representation of their community. He emphasised that such exposures were critical in nurturing young leaders from marginalised regions like Thar.
