Acknowledging Support for Children’s Voices in the Assembly

CEO Partab Shivani presents a commemorative shield to the Honourable Syed Owais Qadir Shah, Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, in appreciation of the opportunity to bring children’s voices to the Assembly.

The Children and Adolescents Parliament on the Right to Education had an inspiring interaction with the Honourable Syed Owais Qadir Shah, Speaker of the Sindh Provincial Assembly, during their learning and advocacy programme at the Provincial Assembly.

The Honourable Speaker warmly welcomed the young parliamentarians and appreciated their commitment to promoting the Right to Education and meaningful child participation in governance. He encouraged the children to observe Assembly proceedings, engage critically with policy discussions, and understand how legislative decisions influence the lives of children across Sindh.

The Speaker also extended his support by facilitating the children’s participation in the Provincial Assembly budget sessions and encouraging dialogue between young citizens and elected representatives. This provided the Children’s Parliament with a valuable opportunity to experience parliamentary democracy firsthand and strengthen their understanding of legislative processes, public accountability, and responsible citizenship.

In recognition of this important opportunity and the Speaker’s support for meaningful child participation, CEO Partab Shivani presented a commemorative shield to the Honourable Speaker, Syed Owais Qadir Shah.

The gesture reflected the shared commitment to creating spaces where children are not only heard but are also encouraged to participate in discussions that shape the future of education and their communities.
