As part of their learning journey, members of the Children and Adolescents’ Parliament on the Right to Education participated in a series of educational exposure visits to key government institutions across Sindh. At the Reforms Support Unit (RSU), the young parliamentarians learned about education reforms and the use of data to improve planning and learning outcomes through an interactive session with Mr. Abdul Samad Mugheri, Program Officer, RSU. During their visit to the Sindh Education Policy Commission (SEPC), Dr. Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, Director SEPC, introduced the children to the importance of education policymaking and its role in shaping the future of learning in Sindh. At the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Managing Director Mr. Gahanwer Ali Laghari shared the Foundation’s efforts to expand quality education for underserved children, while Director General Mr. Yasir Qurban welcomed the delegation at the Human Resources Department, SE&LD, and provided insights into the department’s role in strengthening the education sector. The learning journey concluded with a visit to the Minority Affairs Department, where Mr. Jamshed Alam Memon, Secretary, Minority Affairs Department, and Dr. Sham Sundar K. Advani, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Minorities Affairs, engaged the young parliamentarians in discussions on inclusion, equal opportunities, and child rights. These visits gave participants a valuable opportunity to interact with senior officials, better understand public institutions, and strengthen their commitment to advocating for quality education and meaningful change in their communities.
