Sindh Education Minister Highlights Structural Issues as TEA’s Reform Advocacy Gains Recognition

During a recent session of the Sindh Assembly, Sindh’s Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah expressed deeply rooted structural problems in the education system.

From budget imbalance and weak infrastructure to flawed data and governance failures.

When 92% of the education budget is spent on salaries, very little is left for improving schools and learning.

It is pertinent to note that these reforms are not new ideas, they have been part of Thar Education Alliance’s policy framework and advocacy for years, rooted in evidence, equity and ground realities of Sindh.

Seeing these principles echoed on the Assembly floor shows that policy work, when grounded in truth and persistence, it eventually finds its voice.
