Education funding must translate into real change for schools.
In Badin, Sindh, 2,027 schools are part of the School Specific Budget (SSB). While PKR 0.928 billion has been allocated, only PKR 0.469 billion has been released so far.
At the same time, many schools still lack basic facilities:
228 schools without drinking water
1,882 schools without electricity
919 schools without boundary walls
These gaps directly affect student’s learning environment and safety especially for girls.
Timely and full release of school budgets is essential to ensure that schools can provide safe, functional, and supportive spaces for every child to learn.
